Dr. Shefali Pathy

Biography

Shefali R Pathy, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. She is also the Site Director for the Women's Health Sargent Drive Clerkship and co-director of the Women and Children's Health Clerkship, particularly in the OBGYN component. Dr. Pathy has dedicated her clinical practice to the Women's Center at Yale New Haven Hospital and has a significant background in urban health, having worked at Jacobi Hospital and Stamford Hospital. Her educational journey includes an MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, an MPH from Yale School of Public Health, and residency training at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Pathy is recognized for her contributions to medical education and has received multiple awards, including the National Faculty Award for Resident Education in OBGYN. Her research interests primarily focus on healthcare in urban settings and medical education, showcasing her commitment to improving reproductive healthcare for women across their lifespan. She is a member of the Menopause Society and is passionate about guiding women in their reproductive health decisions and training the next generation of healthcare providers.
