Biography

Sheldon Mark Ross is the Daniel J. Epstein Chair Professor in the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Brooklyn College in 1963, followed by a Master of Science in Mathematics from Purdue University in 1964, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Stanford University in 1968. His work has been widely cited and influential, marking him as a leader in research on probability models and simulation methodologies.
