Biography

Shelley Xin Li received her Doctoral degree in Business Administration (Accounting Management) from Harvard Business School. Her research employs a mix of methods including field experiments, archival studies, and surveys to explore high-level research questions related to management control mechanisms and technology-enabled information sharing systems driving organizational performance. She has published works in notable journals such as Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Management Science, and Contemporary Accounting Research. In recognition of her work, she received the AAA/Grant Thornton Doctoral Dissertation Award. Currently, she serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Management Accounting Research and is the Co-chair Liaison for the Practice Committee of the American Accounting Association’s Management Accounting Section.
