Biography

Shelley Welton is the Presidential Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where she specializes in administrative, regulatory, and compliance law, with a significant focus on environmental law and policy. Prior to her appointment at Penn, she served as a faculty member at the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she taught courses including administrative law, energy law, and environmental justice. Welton holds a PhD in Law from Yale University, a JD from New York University School of Law, a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
