Biography

Sheree R. Schwartz holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MPH. Her research focuses on optimizing HIV prevention and treatment outcomes for populations that are vulnerable and disproportionately affected by HIV, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa and the U.S. She employs implementation science frameworks and methodologies to design and evaluate strategies for improving the uptake and adherence to evidence-based biomedical interventions. She has training in infectious disease epidemiology and technical expertise in reproductive health implementation research. Additionally, she is actively involved in several leadership roles, including Director of the CFAR Implementation Science HIV Training Fellowship for early-stage investigators and Co-Director of both the Johns Hopkins University CFAR Implementation Science Core and the Mid-Atlantic CFAR Consortium Implementation Science Consultation Hub. Her honors include being a Fogarty Global Health Fellow and recognition as a Center for AIDS Research Scholar.
