Biography

Sheryl Reaves is an accomplished professional in the field of optometry, with a diverse practice background that includes experience in clinical faculty roles at the University of California, Berkeley and various practice modalities such as hospital, surgical, and private practice. She completed her undergraduate studies and optometry school at the University of California, Berkeley and subsequently completed a residency in ocular disease at the Brooklyn St. Albans Veterans Affairs program in New York. Sheryl is currently the sole optometrist at the Jessie Trice Community Health Center in South Florida, where she is dedicated to serving Miami’s historically Black communities. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and has also served as the past Vice President of the Miami Dade Optometric Physicians Association.
