Biography

Shi Li is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Manitoba, a Master of Science in Finance with Merit from the University of Warwick, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Investment & Financial Risk Management from City University, London. His research focuses on empirical finance, specifically anomalies, dividend policy, and heterogeneous beliefs. He has published papers in reputable finance journals including the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, and Finance Research Letters. Dr. Li has presented his research at major academic conferences such as the Financial Management Association and the Southern Finance Association. His research has received funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada through the Insight Grant program.
