Biography

Shintaro joined the University of Southampton as a lecturer in 2023 after obtaining his PhD in Mathematics in 2020 from Penn State University. He completed his postdoctoral position at the University of Münster from 2020 to 2023. His research focuses on the Baum-Connes conjecture in noncommutative geometry, particularly studying C*-algebras and K-theory from the perspective of representation theory. He is also interested in representation theory in symmetric spaces and its applications in noncommutative geometry.
