Biography

Shiry Ginosar is an Assistant Professor at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago, specializing in the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Ginosar completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science, advising under Alyosha Efros, and has held various academic and industry roles, including a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley with Jitendra Malik and a position at Global Research Centre for Diverse Intelligences. Her research focuses on grounded visual understanding, employing data-driven predictive modeling to address challenges in social situations. Ginosar has contributed significantly to the field, with her work featured in prestigious outlets like The New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, and PBS NOVA, and has been exhibited at the Israeli Design Museum and included in the Deutsches Museum's permanent collection.
