Shiwei Wang received his Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering with Outstanding Honor from Zhejiang University, China in 2010, and his PhD degree in Microelectronics from the University of Edinburgh, UK in 2014. His doctoral research was conducted at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He then served as an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton from 2020 to 2022, and is currently a Reader in Integrated Neuro-Electronics at the Centre for Electronics Frontiers at the University of Edinburgh. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy.
