Biography

Shreya Raghavan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University. She is also a Cain Faculty Fellow II and serves as affiliated faculty at the CPRIT Regional Center for Excellence in Cancer. Dr. Raghavan's research focuses on mechanobiology, cancer, tissue engineering, women's health, and regenerative medicine, seeking innovative solutions to complex biological issues. She completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Tech-Wake Forest University School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences in 2014. Her research is recognized for its contribution to understanding how mechanical forces influence cellular behaviors and responses, particularly in cancer and regenerative applications. Dr. Raghavan is active in various professional societies including the Society for Biomaterials and the Biomedical Engineering Society. She has received multiple awards acknowledging her contributions to the field and for her innovative teaching methods. In addition to her research and teaching, she is committed to community impact and mentoring young scientists in her lab.
