Dr. Shripad Revankar

Biography

Shripad Revankar is a Professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Purdue University. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Karnatak University, which he earned in 1983. Additionally, he obtained his Master of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from McMaster University in 1982 and a Master of Science in Physics from Karnatak University in 1977. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Karnatak University in 1975. With extensive expertise in nuclear engineering, his research interests encompass several key areas including Two-Phase Flow, Heat Transfer, Advanced Reactor Design Testing, Advanced Nuclear Fuel Development, Reactor Safety, Thermal Hydraulics, Severe Accident Analysis, Nuclear Hydrogen Generation, Fuel Cell Hydrogen Systems, and Renewable Energy. He holds a patent related to ceramic-ceramic composites used in nuclear fuels and reactor systems. Dr. Revankar is a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society (ANS), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, among other professional affiliations. His contributions to the field have been recognized through various memberships and a strong commitment to advancing nuclear engineering research and education.
