Biography

Shruti Agashe is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Neurology, Biomedical Engineering, and Neurosurgery at Duke University. Her research interests lie in the identification of biomarkers for epilepsy, pre-surgical evaluation of epilepsy, and the evaluation of stereoEEG drugs and device trials for epilepsy management. With a background in biomedical engineering, she has a special interest in neuromodulation techniques, including deep brain stimulation and responsive neurostimulation, as well as the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the analysis of EEG data to develop novel device therapies for epilepsy care. Shruti has completed her fellowship in Epilepsy Clinical Neurophysiology at the Mayo Clinic and has also undertaken a Neurology Residency at Houston Methodist Hospital. She is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through clinical research and looks forward to exploring broader applications in neuropsychiatry.
