Biography

Shuai Zhao received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electronic information engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China, in 2011, 2014, and 2018, respectively. He has held visiting researcher positions at the University of Toronto, Canada, and the University of Texas at Dallas, USA. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Aalborg University Denmark, his research focuses on artificial intelligence systems, informatics, and power electronics, particularly physics-informed machine learning and condition health monitoring. He has published over 80 technical papers with significant contributions to AI applications in power electronics, garnering nearly 80,000 downloads. Zhao has received prestigious awards including the Top Paper Award from IEEE Power Electronics Magazine and the Place Prize Paper Award from IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics. He is an Associate Editor for multiple IEEE journals and leads several significant research projects funded by the Villum Experiment grant and EU Horizon programs. Zhao has also delivered numerous invited tutorials and seminars at IEEE conferences worldwide.
