Dr. Shuchi Anand

Biography

Shuchi Anand is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University, specializing in Nephrology. She graduated with her Medical Degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and completed her internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Dr. Anand completed a Nephrology fellowship at Stanford University, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Epidemiology from the Stanford School of Medicine. Her research focuses on advancing care for patients with kidney disease living in low-resource settings, utilizing practical tools to improve health outcomes. Currently, she engages in various projects, including collaborations with the University of Utah to promote exercise programs for underserved populations and studying risk factors for kidney disease among South Asians. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she participated in a partnership aimed at understanding sero-epidemiology and vaccination responses among dialysis patients. Dr. Anand holds board certifications in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and has actively contributed to several professional organizations and committees.
