Biography

Shuja Ansari (CEng, IEEE M'15-SM’20, IET M'15) received his M.Sc. degree with distinction in Telecommunications Engineering in 2015 and his Ph.D. in Engineering in 2019 from Glasgow Caledonian University, UK. He is currently a Lecturer in Autonomous Systems and Connectivity at the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. Dr. Ansari leads the Wave-1 Urban 5G use case implementation at the Glasgow 5G Testbed, funded by the Scotland 5G Centre. He has also been a key figure in the UK EME Hub establishment. With extensive experience in both academia and industry, Dr. Ansari’s work includes engagement in postgraduate research and postdoc integration within the School of Engineering. His contributions to the telecommunications sector have earned him recognition as a promising leader and finalist in the Connected Britain Rising Star Awards 2025.
