Shulin Deng is a Teaching Fellow in Banking and Finance at King's Business School, King's College London. He received his PhD in Economics and an MSc in Money, Banking, and Finance from the University of Birmingham. Since joining King's in 2021, Shulin has been a teaching-intensive lecturer in economics, previously teaching at the University of Reading. He has substantial experience in teaching and supervising a variety of Economics and Finance modules across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Shulin is also a qualified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). His research interests focus on Household Finance and Labour Economics, with a special emphasis on applying econometric analysis to understand the links among finance, public retirement policy, the housing market, health economics, and aspects of International Economics. He is open to accepting PhD students in these areas.
