Biography

Shuo Wang is a Lecturer in Financial Accounting at the University of Edinburgh Business School, having joined in February 2022. Before this, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He holds a Master's degree in Finance Investment and a PhD in Accounting Finance from the University of Bristol. His research focuses primarily on the quality and quantity of corporate disclosure and its influence on capital markets. Additionally, his extended research interests include interdisciplinary studies, accounting society, supply chain management, and corporate greenwashing. Shuo has published his work in esteemed journals such as Accounting Business Research and European Accounting Review and regularly presents at major national and international conferences, including the European Accounting Association Annual Congress and BAFA Annual Conference. He is open to supervising PhD applications specializing in market-based accounting research, corporate finance, and corporate governance.
