Biography

Shyni Varghese is the Laszlo Ormandy Distinguished Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University and holds professorships in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science. With a Ph.D. from the National Chemical Laboratory in India, her research focuses on biomaterials, biomechanics, mechanobiology, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.
