Dr. Siamak Ardekani

Biography

Siamak Ardekani focuses on developing computational models to extract clinically relevant information from medical images, particularly those generated by magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography. His work aims to quantify and visualize alterations in the shape and function of anatomical structures such as the brain and heart. The models developed by Ardekani have the potential to assist physicians in identifying patients at high risk for complications and in monitoring patients' responsiveness to therapy. He has authored more than 20 research articles and conference papers published in international journals and proceedings. Ardekani earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2006, his MS in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University in 2000, and his MD from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 1993.
