Siamak Mehrkanoon is an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University, specializing in Algorithmic Data Analysis. He obtained his PhD degree in Machine Learning from KU Leuven, Belgium in 2015. His research interests focus on deep learning, neural networks, kernel-based models, unsupervised and semi-supervised learning, pattern recognition, numerical algorithms, and optimization. He has received several fellowships and grants, including the prestigious PDM KU Leuven Fund for Scientific Research. In addition to his research, he serves as an Associate Editor for Neurocomputing and is a member of the European Laboratory for Learning Intelligent Systems (ELLIS).
