Biography

Siddhartha Srivastava is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Queen's University. He holds dual undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Biological Science from the University of Calgary, and a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of British Columbia. Subsequently, he completed medical school and residency in General Internal Medicine at the University of Calgary, followed by subspecialty training at Queen's University. Dr. Srivastava is formally trained in Clinical Informatics, having obtained a Master of Science in Health and Clinical Informatics from Oregon Health Science University. His clinical practice focuses on General Internal Medicine, including teaching, consult service, outpatient care, and perioperative medicine, particularly for patients with refractory hypertension. His academic interests lie in clinical informatics, quality improvement, and medical education, with a passion for integrating Digital Health technologies into healthcare settings to enhance provider workflows and patient outcomes. He has implemented and evaluated clinical information systems in hospital settings and served as the physician co-lead for the implementation of a regional Health Information System across six partner hospitals in the South-East region of Ontario.
