Biography

Sidney Aster is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto Mississauga, where he was part of the Department of Historical Studies. He graduated with a BA in History and Political Science and an MA in History from McGill University in Montreal, later completing his Ph.D. in International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His teaching interests encompass British history from 1485 to the present, Irish history, and the dynamics of diplomatic relations among great powers.
