Biography

Sigrid Hemels is a part-time full professor of tax law at the Erasmus School of Law of Erasmus University Rotterdam and currently serves as a State Councillor in the Advisory Division of the Dutch Council of State. She has held guest professorships in tax law at Lund University in Sweden. Hemels focuses her research on tax incentives for charities and the role of private patronage in the arts.
