Biography

Sijie Sun is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and the F. Ross Johnson Fellow at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. Before joining Asper, Sijie taught at the University of Hawaii at Hilo in Hawaii, USA. His research focuses on cross-cultural consumer psychology, creativity, consumption, and prosocial behavior. His work has been published in esteemed journals including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Macromarketing and has been presented at various conferences such as the Association for Consumer Research (ACR), Society for Consumer Psychology (SCP), American Marketing Association (AMA), and Academy of Marketing Science (AMS). He serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Business Research. His research has been funded by the University of Manitoba and the Oceanic Institute-Center for Tropical and Subtropical Aquaculture (CTSA), and has been reported in media outlets such as Canadian Press and Winnipeg Free Press. Dr. Sun holds a PhD in Marketing from the College of Business at the University of Texas at Arlington and is passionate about advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
