Dr. Sijun Du

Biography

Sijun Du received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering with honors from Pierre Marie Curie University (UPMC) in Paris, France, in 2011, and his Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with distinction from Imperial College London, UK, in 2012. Between 2012 and 2013, he worked at the Lip6 laboratory at UPMC before starting his career as a digital IC design engineer in Shanghai in 2013. He joined the University of Cambridge, UK, in October 2014 to pursue his Ph.D., completing it after several years of research. He has held various positions, including a three-month internship in the R&D department at Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, CA, USA, in 2016, and serving as a visiting scholar at Fudan University in China in 2018. Between 2018 and 2020, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Berkeley Wireless Research Center (BWRC) at the University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA. In 2020, he joined the Department of Microelectronics at Delft University of Technology as an Assistant Professor, where he focuses on energy-efficient integrated circuits and systems. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Chartered Engineer. He has received notable recognitions such as the NWO VENI grant and has authored or co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed technical papers and five patents.
