Dr. Silvana Ilievska

Biography

Silvana Ilievska has over 20 years of experience as an educator, beginning her career in the corporate workplace where she discovered her passion for teaching and training. She obtained a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, a minimum requirement for teaching in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. Silvana has spent significant time teaching at TAFE and VET colleges, consulting for government and private organizations, and designing systems that benefit administrative functions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English and a sub-major in Social Cultural Analysis, followed by a Master of Education specializing in Secondary Teaching. Her journey included casual work with Western Sydney University, where she helped design content for Academic English while supporting students. In 2017, she was appointed as an Academic English Teacher and Student Pathways Advisor. Currently, she works as a casual academic at Curtin University, remaining passionate about engaging students and pursuing her PhD.
