Dr. Silvia Adamo

Biography

Silvia Adamo is an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in Immigration Law and Integration Law. She has a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen and has conducted extensive research on private governance and immigrant integration. Her significant projects include the Carlsberg Foundation-funded research project on new understandings of immigrant integration and her contributions to the study of Danish nationality law and citizenship theory. Silvia has held visiting fellowships in prestigious institutions like the European University Institute and the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, she has interned with the European Commission in Portugal, enhancing her expertise in European administrative law. Fluent in several languages, including Danish, English, Portuguese, French, Spanish, and her native Italian, she conducts interdisciplinary research, integrating perspectives from public and private law within the context of migration. Silvia is actively involved in academic journals and research networks, significantly contributing to the fields of law and public governance.
