Biography

Silvia De Ascaniis is a lecturer and researcher at the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), Lugano, Switzerland. De Ascaniis co-leads a project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation focused on science communication in a historical context and has been involved in developing Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) related to eTourism. She has led significant initiatives such as #faces4heritage, aimed at addressing youth engagement against violent extremism. She is actively engaged in analyzing communicative strategies used by family associations in Italy.
