Biography

Simeon Koole is a Senior Lecturer in Liberal Arts History at the University of Bristol. He holds a BA from the University of Oxford, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and a DPhil from the University of Oxford, where he completed his doctorate in 2017. His academic focus is on nineteenth- and twentieth-century history, particularly in Britain and its global entanglements. Koole has received recognition for his work, including being shortlisted for the Royal Historical Society Book Prize. His research has also led to collaborations in creative nonfiction and film, probing the historical narratives of London's docklands and the connections to global histories.
