Biography

Simin Fadaee is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Manchester. Educated in Iran at the University of Tehran and in India at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Fadaee has also studied in South Africa at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and in Germany at the University of Freiburg. Prior to her current role, she worked at Humboldt University of Berlin. Fadaee has conducted research in Iran, India, and Germany, contributing to the discourse on social movements' responsiveness to contemporary political landscapes. She actively supervises PhD students in related topics and is engaged with global issues related to sustainable development goals.
