His work analyzes early Yiddish language testimonies and the various forms of witnessing that include memoirs, artistic expressions, and self-expressions through diaries. Muir is also interested in the arenas of witnessing that encompass survivor journals and commemorative events related to Yiddish in Sweden, as well as the psychological rehabilitation of trauma among survivors.
