Professor Simon-Pierre Gravel completed his graduate studies at the Université de Montréal and significantly contributed to the development of the new Bachelor of Biopharmaceutical Sciences program (BSBP) as a lecturer in biochemistry and molecular biology from 2009 to 2011. He then undertook a dual postdoctoral training at the Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Research Centre at McGill University, specializing in the study of metabolism in breast cancer and collaborating with L’Oréal Paris on the metabolic basis of aging skin. Currently, Professor Gravel is establishing a research program focusing on pharmacometabolomics of inflammation in cancer and skin conditions. His research interests include the metabolic foundations of chronic inflammatory diseases, cancer, and viral infections, particularly characterizing mechanisms linking cellular metabolic disruptions to immune system activation.
