Dr. Simon Dadson

Biography

Simon Dadson is a Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of Christ Church. He has published widely in reputable journals on topics including climate change, hydrology, and Earth surface processes, contributing to prominent publications like Nature and Science. His book, 'Statistical Analysis of Geographical Data,' published by Wiley-Blackwell in 2017, reflects his commitment to enhancing statistics education for undergraduate geographers. Over his career, Simon has undertaken significant projects aimed at addressing the impacts of climate change on water resources, often collaborating with international institutions and governmental bodies. He leads the Hydro-JULES project, which integrates hydrological and climate models for better predictions of floods and droughts.
