Dr. Simon Divilov

Biography

Simon Divilov is an Assistant Research Professor in the Thomas Lord Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the City University of New York in 2011 and completed his Ph.D. at Stony Brook University in 2018. His research focuses on the computational and experimental investigation of materials, particularly in the areas of high-entropy ceramics and alloy systems. Divilov has contributed significantly to the field through various publications and collaborative projects, demonstrating expertise in machine learning applications in materials science. His recent works include research on machine-learned interatomic potentials and the development of computational libraries for crystallographic prototypes.
