Biography

Simon Fleming has over thirty years of experience in the field of photonics, focusing primarily on optical fibres, materials, fabrication, and devices. Dr. Fleming has supervised twenty research students and has substantial experience in leadership and governance, particularly in research facilities and collaborations. Past projects have included in-vivo fibre sensors for tissue identification and fibre-optic dosimetry for cancer treatment.
