Biography

Simon Hacks is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University. With a PhD in Enterprise Architecture modeling from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, he specializes in the quality aspects of Enterprise Architecture (EA) models. His research interests focus on the concept of EA Debt, an extension of Technical Debt, which provides a holistic view of the technical aspects organizations face. His teaching encompasses Software Engineering, Enterprise Modeling, and Threat Modeling. He contributes to various conferences and journals, including the International Conference on Conceptual Modeling and the International Journal of Software Systems Modeling. Simon also has a Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science from the Technical University of Dortmund, and his research has successfully integrated human aspects into the modeling quality of EA.
