Biography

Simon Lesina-Debiasi is a Postgraduate Teaching Fellow in the Department of Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His interdisciplinary work as an architectural designer, researcher, and artist focuses on exploring questions regarding environmental impact, digital network infrastructure, material intelligence, and fabrication design. He has previously worked as a research assistant at the Self-Assembly Lab and as a teaching assistant at MIT. Additionally, he has served as a lecturer at the School of Architecture at Northeastern University. Simon holds an SMArchS in Design Computation from MIT, an M.Arch from the Princeton University School of Architecture, and a B.Arch from the Institute of Art and Architecture Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. His recent projects include innovative environmental impact sensor technologies aimed at enhancing building operations and sustainability within the construction sector, which is one of the major contributors to global carbon emissions.
