Simon spent a decade at the intersection of cities, innovation, and real estate, creating leading initiatives that generated more than $1 billion in economic impact. He co-produces the Urban Tech Summit at Cornell Tech and helped launch an urban tech incubator in New York City in collaboration with NYU and the NYC Economic Development Corporation. Additionally, Simon served as a Strategic Advisor to the U.S. Department of Commerce during the Obama Administration. In 2017, he founded CIV:LAB, a nonprofit focused on developing and funding place-based innovation programs in New York, Detroit, and Los Angeles.
