Biography

Prior to becoming an academic, Simon Wolfe worked in the industry for a number of years. Simon joined the University of Southampton's Business School in 1994 and has since developed a strong academic profile, holding a PhD in Finance from Southampton University (1997), an MSc in Quantitative Techniques for International Financial Economics (1991), and a BA in Maths and Economics from University College Dublin (UCD) in 1989. He has served as an Associate Editor for the European Journal of Finance since 2011 and is a member of the International Scientific Advisory Board at ISCTE Business School Research Centre, BRU-IUL in Lisbon, Portugal. Simon is currently the Director of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Programme and the Centre for Digital Finance (CDF) at the University of Southampton. He supervises both DBA and PhD students, focusing on research areas such as financial regulations, financial stability, and digital finance, among others. He has played a key role in teaching various undergraduate and postgraduate modules over the years, including Corporate Finance, Equity Markets, and International Banking.
