Holding a PhD in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania, my research focuses on family demography, Indigenous demography, and the social and economic determinants of health, notably the role of diffusion through social networks. In my recent work, I utilize new tools to enhance our understanding of family dynamics in Europe and Canada, particularly among Indigenous peoples. I am currently the director of the Indigenous Demography Study Group (GEDA), which aims to advance understanding in this vital area.
