Biography

Simona Martorana is a Lecturer in Classics at the Australian National University. She teaches courses such as 'Introductory Latin' (LATN1001) and 'Advanced Latin' (3125), and has previously instructed on subjects including 'Continuing Latin' and 'Life, Love and Loss in Ancient Greece and Rome'. With a particular interest in themes such as gender studies and medical humanities, she aims to rethink human-environment interactions through her research, evident in her current project on Plague Narratives in the Roman World.
