Dr. Sinthia Bosnic Anticevich

Biography

Professor Bosnic-Anticevich is a specialist respiratory pharmacist and internationally recognized expert in the use of respiratory medicines. She is the founder and Research Leader of the Quality Use Respiratory Medicines Group at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. Sinthia's research has led to the development of 'gold standards' for the use of inhalers, significantly impacting national and international treatment guidelines for asthma, COPD, and allergic rhinitis. Her work focuses on understanding how to optimize the use of respiratory medicines for improved health outcomes and care delivery. With over 200 research publications, she has secured $20M in research funding and is known for her innovative and pragmatic approach to solving healthcare problems associated with medicine use. She has been invited to present her work nationally and internationally across various health disciplines. Sinthia has held academic positions at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney, where she developed innovative Units of Study and pedagogical manuscripts. She co-founded the Women in Pharmacy Committee, which has established numerous women's networks across Australia, enhancing career opportunities for women in pharmacy. Sinthia holds several leadership roles in national organizations and serves on editorial boards of prestigious respiratory journals.
