Dr. Smrithi Prasad

Biography

Smrithi Prasad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the National University of Singapore. She holds a Ph.D. from Oregon, an M.Sc. in Management from the National University of Singapore, and a B.Soc.Sci. (Hons.) from the same institution. Her research focuses on the interaction between psychological and biological factors in decision-making, particularly under stressful and competitive conditions. She integrates theories and methods from social psychology, behavioral endocrinology, and organizational behavior to address critical questions such as how stressful competitive environments influence behaviors and decisions, the roles that psychological and biological factors play in influencing social behaviors and decision-making, and how psychological interventions can enhance the quality of decision-making.
