Biography

Sneha Prabha Narra is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University. She obtained her B.E. in Civil Engineering from Osmania University in 2012 and went on to earn her M.S. in Computational Mechanics (2013) and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (2015) from Carnegie Mellon University, culminating in her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2017. Following her doctoral studies, she completed postdoctoral training at NextManufacturing Center at Carnegie Mellon before joining Worcester Polytechnic Institute as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2018. After a few years at WPI, she returned to CMU’s Mechanical Engineering Department in July 2021. She is actively involved in the academic community as an Associate Editor for the journal Additive Manufacturing and plays a key role in organizing symposia and workshops for the TMS Additive Manufacturing Bridge Committee.
