Biography

Sofia Noori is co-founder of Nema Health, a virtual clinic focused on high-quality care for trauma survivors suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). As a perinatal psychiatrist in Connecticut, she provides psychiatric input for healthcare providers caring for pregnant patients. Dr. Noori is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale, having previously served as Chief Resident in the Digital Psychiatry track of the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. She co-developed a digital psychiatry residency curriculum and is involved in teaching trainees about digital health app prescribing. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Noori is a founding member of the Center for Digital Psychiatry at the Connecticut Mental Health Center, which aims to integrate digital health into patient care. She has also co-founded the Women’s Mental Health Conference at Yale and the Yale Women's Housestaff Organization, both dedicated to improving awareness and support for women's mental health. Dr. Noori's clinical focus is on trauma and women's mental health, and she is fluent in English and Spanish. She has prior experience as a staff psychiatrist at the Cornell Scott Hill Health Center, focusing on immigrant women's mental health.
