Since July 2022, I have been the Dean of the faculty at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, leading the Faculty Council alongside Vice Dean Anna Finne Wistrand. The Faculty Council advises the rector on quality and ethical issues, is responsible for the quality system, and ensures collegial engagement in management issues among teachers and researchers at KTH. In my role as a researcher and teacher, I am part of the Department of Machine Design at KTH, a dynamic department with a diversity of individuals and subjects. We research and educate in product development in its broadest sense, from physical phenomena and technical components to the management of large organizations. My own research focuses on how to create innovation capabilities within organizations. I am particularly interested in integrating sustainability issues with strategic business development questions and enabling organizations to be both efficient and innovative. For several years, we have been working on the transition to a circular economy and what it entails for innovation management in established large companies. I have the privilege of collaborating with various types of organizations on these issues: industrial technology companies, both small and large, governmental agencies, and commercial enterprises. I also research circular economy, which I see as a model for constructively integrating sustainability and business issues. In addition to my research, I teach Innovation Management and product development processes, which is a truly stimulating endeavor.
