Dr. Somya Singhvi

Biography

Somya Singhvi is an Assistant Professor at the USC Marshall School of Business specializing in Data Science and Operations. She earned her Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on enhancing the design of digital agricultural platforms in markets. Prior to her role at USC, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Global Development. Her research is driven by a desire to create social impact, utilizing a combination of field-based data-driven research methods. Singhvi's areas of interest include developing actionable insights into supply chains and digital platforms within resource-constrained settings. Her work spans various application areas, including agricultural and healthcare supply chains, ed-tech platforms, and charitable donation systems. She has received numerous accolades for her research efforts, including the George B. Dantzig Dissertation Award and the Public Sector Operations Paper Award.
