Professor Dr. Sondra Rosander

Biography

Dr. Sondra Rosander is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Medical School. She specializes in pediatric anesthesia and serves as the Assistant Medical Director in her department. Dr. Rosander has contributed significantly to the Pediatric Difficult Airway International Registry, where she is the primary investigator for the Michigan Medicine site. Her research focuses on predicting the safe management of pediatric difficult airways and understanding the perioperative pain experiences of children with ADHD. Additionally, Dr. Rosander is actively involved in various quality assurance committees, reviewing cases related to pediatric ENT, dental, and oral and maxillofacial surgery services. Outside of her academic responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, cooking, and exploring the outdoors. Her work aims to enhance patient care through innovative approaches and evidence-based practices in pediatric anesthesia.
