Biography

Song Liu is a Professor in Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He earned his Ph.D. in Fiber Polymer Science from the University of California, Davis. His pioneering work includes the development of a versatile polyester platform for bio-functionalized surfaces, contributing to medical applications such as anti-biofilm catheters and drug release systems. Liu is also recognized for his contributions with various awards, including the Outstanding Teacher Award and the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Manitoba.
